We had 24 book club members read The Year the Swallows Came Early by Kathryn Fitzmaurice! Most everyone LOVED it and a couple of readers liked it. Therefore, it is a highly recommended read. I am super excited for our last book club pick of the year. We will be reading Chasing Vermeer by Blue Balliett. It is a creative twist on solving a mystery about a missing Vermeer painting and the two students who set out to find the thief. The students attend an eccentric and wonderful school in the heart of Chicago and you the reader feel like you are right there with them cracking the codes to solve this enchanting mystery. Copies of the book are in the media center so please come reserve yours today. Our last meeting of the year will take place on Monday, May 23rd during lunch with a special treat to enjoy.
